A wee bit of Histoy

The guitar is a musical instrument with ancient roots that is used in a wide variety of musical styles. It typically has six strings.
Guitars are recognized as one of the primary instruments in blues, country, blues and the more popular rock and roll. They can also be a solo classical instrument.. Guitars may be played acoustically, where the tone is produced by vibration of the strings and modulated by the hollow body, or they may rely on an amplifier that can electronically manipulate tone. The electric guitar were introduced in the 20th century and continue to have a profound influence on popular culture.
Traditionally guitars have usually been constructed of combinations of various woods and strung with animal gut, or more recently, with either nylon or steel strings.

The Guitar is made from American Spruce top
Solid African Mahogany back and sides
with Rosewood Bridge and Rosewood fingerboard,
Mother of pearl and green abalone inlays
Bone top nut, Grover machine heads, Elixir strings and comes with a Satin finish.

Hello everyone, First of all let me introduce myself, my name is Drew am 45 years young, and Ive decided to learn to play the acoustic guitar. As I am totally tone deaf and can't sing, play any musical instruments and is not musically minded, am ready for the challenge. I re-searched various web-sites on different types of guitars, how much they cost etc, I finally bought myself a Tanglewood Acoustic Guitar, some music books, plectrums, tuner etc. Lets get started!
